What is mouse in computer

Just we think that if your computer mouse suddenly goes bad or not working, then you will get upset, go to the market immediately, and buy a mouse of your choice from a computer shop, because, in today's time, a computer without a mouse can not be imagined. Can, but do you know that this system which greatly simplified the operation of a computer was conceived 54 years ago.

Computer mouse inventor

The mouse was invented in 1960 by Doug Engelbert and you will be surprised to know that the first mouse was made of wood, with two metal wheels. It was at that time that the first generation of computers were running and the size of the computer was equal to a room.

What is Mouse?

The mouse is a hardware and is the input device used on the computer, with the help of a pointing device (mouse), you can move the arrow icon that appears in the computer and the cursor that appears in the computer. One can easily click on any button or menu, a simple mouse has two buttons which are known as Left Click and Right Click. The terms of the need to be replaced by another.

Why need a mouse?

The operating systems of old-time computers were based on CUI i.e Character User Interface like MS DOC which used to work only from the keyboard but since operating system based on Graphical User Interface (GUI) like Windows 95, Windows Since then, it has become difficult to work with the keyboard and with the help of such a tool, which can be used anywhere on the screen.

How does the mouse work?

Mouse divides the computer screen into DPI or pixels. If you buy the mouse from the market, then its DPI is written on its box. The DPI is a full form dot on the dot, i.e the number of dots in a square inch, now it is as much as the DPI. More you will be able to prepare better graphics, but for normal work, less DPI also works.

Type Of Computer Mouse

  1. Mechanical mouse
  2. Optomechanical Mouse
  3. Optical mouse
  4. Wireless mouse

Mechanical mouse

The oldest form of a mouse, this mouse had a rubber ball and when it was mounted on the pad, it rotated the rubber ball inside the wheel, allowing the signal to be sent to the computer but this mouse was not much successful. That even the rubber ball stuck and it did not work so well.

Optomechanical Mouse

The optomechanical mouse was made better than the mechanical mouse. Instead of the mechanical sensor, the optical sensor was replaced, the optomechanical mouse had LED (Light Emitting Diode) and photo detector working properly by estimating the distance fixed by the mouse but this The model also had some flaws.

Optical mouse

Finally, a state-of-the-art optical mouse is currently being used, in which LED (Light Emitting Diode) is used to detect the distance fixed by the mouse with no rotating parts.

Wireless mouse

The wireless mouse is also an optical mouse but does not have wires but a battery to power the mouse and a Radio frequency (RF) receiver is installed in the computer
