He was born in the 1930s in Italy. His family was poor, his father used to sell vegetables on the streets. But he never saw his father.

He started learning, all about spectacles and designing. From the money he saved, he started a small company manufacturing spectacles.

But things were initially very difficult, 6 years went by. And slowly the business started picking up. Now his company 7,000+ eyewear stores worldwide, with over 80,000 employees.

He is Leonardo Del Vecchio, the second richest person in Italy. His company Luxottica, owns major globals brands like Ray-Band and Oakley.
